2009 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic Game 3


It was game 3 yesterday of the 2009 NBA finals and it saw the Los Angeles Lakers battling it out against Orlando Magic again. And according to bleacherreport.com, it was the Orlando Magic that took the victory over the Lakers with the finishing score of 108-104.

It was the Lakers that took the lead in the first quarter with a score of 6-2. Then Kobe Bryant made a 3 and took the Lakers into the lead with 17-13. And by the end of the first quarter it did seem as though the game was going to the Lakers with them leading by 31-27.

Into the second quarter, Magic took over and they lead with a close score of 49-48. Lewis scores back to back threes, taking Magic to a 59-54 lead. The game is pretty close. It now goes into the third quarter and Magic are leading with a 61-56 score.

Then Gasol takes a pass for an easy dunk. The score is now 73-68 to Magic. Then into the last quarter of the game, the Lakers are still looking calm although Magic is in the lead with 87-81. And then Lewis’ free throws finish the game and Magic win 108-104. It was a good game.

After the Los Angeles Lakers outlasted the Orlando Magic in overtime with a 101-96 score in Game 2 of the NBA Finals,the Lakers now leads the series with a commanding 2-0. The home court advantage now shifts to Orlando Magic’s Amway Arena with 3 games straight, Games 3, 4 and 5.
